Two personnel of the National Apiculture Research, Training, and Development Institute (NARTDI) were tapped as learning service providers during the Annual Vet Week Celebration of Pampanga State Agricultural University (PSAU)-College of Veterinary Medicine on February 24, 2022.
Mr. George T. Bondot, Division Chief for Extension and Development, talked on Beekeeping Management on Apis mellifera, while Mr. Arvin C. Tuyan, OIC Head for Bee Product Development, talked on the Introduction to Native Beekeeping.
Mr. Fernando Salunga, President of PSAU Veterinary Medicine Student Council, expressed his thanks to the Institute for the service provided.
“The beekeeping webinar was really interactive. Sobrang genuine iyong curiosity ng mga participants and I can tell that they were giving their questions with the intent to enter into the industry in the future; and the speakers speak from their experience and research-based ang lectures kaya lahat talaga ng katanungan ay malinaw nilang nasagot during the open forum,” said during a quick exchange.
A total of 101 participants joined in the said webinar. It was participated in by Doctor of Veterinary Medicine students and faculty members of PSAU, beekeepers, and other beekeeping enthusiasts. (Lester Orpilla)
